What is an Elastic cloud server?

Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) is a basic computing component composed of CPU, memory, operating system, and cloud hard disk. After the Elastic cloud server is successfully created, you can use the Elastic cloud server on the cloud just like you use your own local PC or physical server.

You only need to specify CPU, memory, operating system, specifications, network configuration, login authentication method. At the same time, you can also adjust the specifications of the elastic cloud server according to your needs at any time, to create a reliable, safe, flexible and efficient computing environment for you.

  • For CPU, memory and specifications, please refer to the specification list (x86).
  • For operating systems, see Image Types.
  • For login method, see Login Instance.

Why choose Elastic Cloud Server

  • Rich specification types: Multiple types of elastic cloud servers are provided to meet different use scenarios. Each type of elastic cloud server contains multiple specifications and supports specification changes.

  • Rich image types: you can use public image, private image or shared image to apply for elastic cloud server flexibly and conveniently.

  • Rich types of disk: provide high IO, general SSD, ultra-high IO, extreme SSD, general SSD V2 performance hard disk to meet the needs of different business scenarios.

  • Flexible billing mode: it supports annual/monthly package, on-demand billing, bidding billing and other modes to purchase cloud servers to meet different application scenarios, and purchase and release resources at any time according to business fluctuations.

  • Reliable data: based on distributed architecture, flexible and scalable virtual block storage service; High data reliability and high I/O throughput.

  • Security protection: support network isolation, security group rule protection, away from virus attacks and Trojan threats; Anti-DDoS traffic cleaning, Web application firewall, vulnerability scanning and other security services provide multi-dimensional protection.

  • Flexible and easy to use: According to business requirements and policies, elastic computing resources are automatically adjusted to efficiently match business requirements.

  • Efficient operation and maintenance: provide console, remote terminal and API and other management methods, giving you full management rights.

  • Cloud monitoring: real-time sampling monitoring indicators, providing timely and effective resource information monitoring alarms, notifications trigger at any time and respond at any time.

  • Load balancing: Elastic load balancing distributes the access traffic to multiple cloud servers automatically, expands the external service ability of the application system, and achieves a higher level of application fault tolerance performance.

Access mode

The cloud service platform provides a Web-based service management platform, and users can access the elastic cloud server through the management console.

If the user is registered, he/she can directly log into the management console and select "GPU Cloud Server" from the home page. If not registered, see Registering an FCloud Account and real-name Authentication.
