Buy and use bare-metal servers quickly
We currently offer online ordering of bare metal servers and offer a model for offline delivery.

You will follow these steps to learn how to use a bare-metal server.
1. Preparation
Before using a bare metal server, you will need to complete the preparation in this article.
- Sign up for an account
- Top up the account
- (Optional) Create a key pair
Sign up for an FCloud account and authenticate with your real name
If you already have an FCloud account, skip to the next task. If you do not already have an FCloud account, refer to the following steps to create one.
- Open the https://www.cnfcloud.com/, click on the "table".
- After opening the registration login page, follow the prompts to complete the registration. For details, see Platform Login Registration.
- After successful registration, the system will jump to the console.
- Refer to the real-name authentication to complete the real-name authentication of personal or enterprise accounts.
Top up your account
You need to make sure the account has enough money.

2. Step 1: Create a bare-metal server
Steps
Login cloud server console at https://console.cnfcloud.com.
In the top navigation bar, select "Cloud Computing Power" - "Bare Metal Server".
Click "Buy Bare Metal Server" in the top right corner.
Finish configuring the parameters.
- Select "Region" and "Availability Zone" such as "North China - Beijing One" and keep the default value for availability zone.
Instructions:
After the bare-metal server is successfully created, the unchangeable zone and availability zone.
- Select "Specifications".
The available specifications are determined by the area you have selected and the availability zone. The resources available for sale may vary from zone to zone.
If you have special needs, please contact us directly.
- Select "Mirror".
For this example, select "Public Image", "Ubuntu 22.04".
Instructions:
Bare-metal server does not support the replacement of operating system after successful creation, please choose carefully.

The system will create a security group for each user by default. The default security group rule is that all data packets in the outgoing direction are released, and access is limited in the incoming direction. The bare metal server will be protected by the default security group, and the default security group rules can meet the basic communication requirements.
- Add "Elastic Public IP".
Bare metal servers that do not use elastic public IP cannot communicate with the Internet and can only be used as bare metal servers for deploying services or clusters in private networks.
- Select "Purchase Duration".
Range: 1 month to 1 year. For this example, select "1 month".
- Set "Purchase quantity".
For this example, select "1" units.
Click Buy Now, and after confirming that the specs are correct, click Go Pay.
Select a payment method and click "Confirm Payment."
3. Step 2: Log in to the Bare Metal server
Operation scenario
After creating the bare metal server, we currently use the offline delivery method to provide you with bare metal server resources, and the relevant information is sent to you through your reserved mailbox.
You can log in to the server according to the mode we provide, and you can reset your username and password.
4. Step 3: Release the bare metal server
Operation scenario
If you have completed your business test or experience, or your lease has expired and you no longer need the bare metal server, release the server to avoid further incurring fees.
Instructions:
Bare-metal servers purchased with a year/month package can only be released by "unsubscribe".
Steps
- Login cloud server console at https://console.cncloud.com.
- In the top menu bar, select "Cloud Computing Power" - "Bare Metal Server".
- Click Instance Management and select Region. For this example, select "North China - Beijing One".
- In the bare-metal server list, find the instance that has been created. In the Actions column, click More > Unsubscribe.
- On the Unsubscribe Resources page, select a reason for unsubscribing and click Unsubscribe.
- Click "Unsubscribe" on the confirmation page that pops up.
